The Wharton Women of Chicago invite you to participate in a discussion on career transitions with Wharton alum Pamela Gingold. In this session, we will hear Pam’s views on making successful mid-career transitions in today’s dynamic and challenging environment.  Whether you are returning to the workplace after raising children, launching a new business or independent consulting for the first time, or negotiating flexible work arrangements for your return to work after the pandemic, Pam will share her thoughts and answer your individual questions.

Pamela Gingold is a professional Career Coach and Career Strategist who founded CareerStart over 10 years ago to assist individuals in determining ideal career paths leading to fulfillment and satisfaction in their work. She coaches them, every step of the way, to assist them in successfully landing their ideal positions within their selected careers. Her focus is on working with women ‘in transition’ – either entering or re-entering the workforce or transitioning into a different role in the midst of a career. She also coaches college students and recent graduates in landing internships and their first professional positions post-graduation.

Pamela has a Wharton MBA in Finance and spent nearly 15 years most recently as Managing Director in Capital Markets at First Chicago/Bank One. She, herself, transitioned into the role of managing the Bank’s Analyst, Associate and First Scholar rotational programs. She mentored and guided early, career professionals transitioning from college to career, assisted in developing professional skills, and in landing career placement within the bank. She said it was the BEST JOB EVER until she founded CareerStart. Now CareerStart is the BEST JOB Ever with complete flexibility on her time.

Wharton Women of Chicago Mission:

The Wharton Women of Chicago was formed to encourage targeted networking opportunities with local female Wharton alumni, primarily mid-career or late-career, many of whom are undergoing career and life transitions (i.e. job/industry changes, entrepreneurship ventures, or returning to work after raising a family).
