VIRTUAL WINE TASTING with MARIMAR ESTATE

Join us for a guided wine tasting with Marimar Torres (Winery Founder/Owner) and Cristina Torres WG’17 (General Manager).

November 13th 5:30-7pm Central Time
Order deadline to allow for shipping (not available in DE, MS or UT): 12noon Pacific Time on Tuesday, November 5th

This virtual wine tasting offers both 2-bottle and 3-bottle options, showcasing a variety of wines from family-run Sonoma County winery Marimar Estate. Marimar and Cristina will give us an introduction to the winery, wine-by-wine tasting notes, information about the vineyards and methods used to produce the wines, and food pairing suggestions. There will be Q&A and discussion.

Marimar Estate is on the Woman-Owned Wineries directory and is a certified sustainable winery. Marimar Torres grew up as a member of the Torres winemaking family in Spain, and opened Marimar Estate after moving to California in the 1970s. Now, her daughter, Cristina, joins her as the generational transition becomes reality—the first time in the family from a mother to a daughter.

Marimar began with a focus on producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir back in the 1980s. For 20 years now, she has been experimenting with and farming traditional Spanish varietals on the two estate vineyards as well! Enjoy the classic Mas Cavalls Pinot Noir from their estate vineyard in West Sonoma Coast and two of their Spanish white varietals, Albariño and Godello, from their home vineyard in Russian River Valley.
