In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the community is more important than ever. We invite you to join us in a 1-hour session for networking, learning, and bonding with peers.
What is Virtual Talk?
A Virtual Talk is exactly what it sounds like: a group of people gathered (this time it will be virtual) sharing stories. We will use them as a way to build community with our alumni. Professional benefits include continued networking and the ability to learn from others. Plus, it's a great social practice, too, and will help prevent social isolation and loneliness.
Why Attend?
This is a practice in truly active listening. In a small group of no more than eight people, each person has 5-7 minutes to share who they are how they got to where they are today. As you are immersed in someone else's story, you have the opportunity to just listen. If you want the space to connect with people you'd normally never be in a (virtual) room with, and experience each other in a truly unique way, this is for you. Moreover, it’s a fun way to meet some of the other 2,000 Wharton alums in the area to build new relationships.
Remember, the world of business still runs on relationships.
