Sydel Howell, a member of the Wharton/Lauder class of 1999 and a self-proclaimed “recovering hyper-achiever,” will share her story on finding purpose, staying balanced, and getting unstuck when life threw her a major curveball.
At her five-year Wharton reunion, Sydel found herself divorced, a single mom of 2- and a 4-year-old, unemployed after leaving McKinsey to be a stay-at-home Mom and $100k in debt. Her mission is to share what she has learned along a 15-year journey to rebuild her life, build her family business, and get her mojo back.
If you have questions about what direction your life and career choices are taking you, if you are considering making a change, if you are feeling a need to get your own mojo back, then join Sydel and a group of Wharton Alumni for a thoughtful discussion of how to deal with life issues beyond what was taught in business school…or for that matter any other school.
The event will be hosted by MM LaFleur, a female-founded startup based on the core belief that when women succeed, the world becomes a better place.
