How Will a Historic Number of Women in Congress Impact Economic Policy and Governance?

What challenges will newly elected women face in public leadership?

Unemployment is at historic lows, and economic growth seems back on track; however, current US policy continues to be controversial.  Why?  How will the makeup of the new Congress - the House under control of Democrats and more women in leadership roles - impact economic policy?  Is there more or less need to worry?  How will the election of more women impact policy in general and what are some of the challenges these new congresswomen face in public leadership roles?

Our speaker, Professor Janice Eberly, is a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, confirmed by the US Senate.  She recently spoke at the Federal Reserve's annual policy conference in Jackson Hole, and is well positioned to address both current issues in economic policy such as taxes, tariffs, and rising interest rates, and the opportunities and challenges women face in these public leadership positions.

Kellogg Executive Women's Network members invite Wharton Club of Chicago members and guests for this special holiday gathering and speech at Catalyst Ranch, a unique, woman-owned event venue in the West Loop.

This will be an opportunity to connect with both old and new friends and share the joy and spirit of the season with a glass of wine, appetizers, and enjoy this special presentation by Janice Eberly.
