Please join us for a webinar on 5/29 at noon where Dr. John Silvia will provide a COVID-focused Economic Update. Dr. Silvia was formerly the Chief Economist at Wells Fargo for many years, and for 12 years he presented the Annual Economic Update to the Wharton Club of Charlotte. During this webinar, Dr. Silvia will discuss the current state of the economy in the city, our region, and the nation. A frequent contributor to CNBC and to Bloomberg, Dr. Silvia is known for his candor, so we expect a lively and candid discussion. About Dr. John Silvia, our speaker:
Dr. Silvia also serves as Economic Advisor to Carolinas Investment Consulting headquartered in Charlotte. Formerly, Dr. Silvia was managing director and the chief economist for Wells Fargo Securities until July 2018. Before his position at Wells, John worked on Capitol Hill as Senior Economist for the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee and chief economist for the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
