Career Seminars

We are pleased to be offering a timely workshop series consisting of three parts specially designed for Wharton Club members who have recently begun, are beginning, or anticipating job searches in the next 6-12 months. This series of career workshops will be held in the first half of 2021. Each session builds on the one before it.

This series is designed to be a highly affordable option for receiving invaluable, professional career and job search guidance. Experienced, professional career coaches charge $300 to $600 per hour.  A “package of services”  from a coaching and transition services company typically costs between $15,000 - $50,000 depending on the array of services offered.

“Mounting an Effective Job Search” – Fall Workshop Series

The Wharton Club is offering this invaluable 6 hour series for $200.  The three sequential workshops are specially designed to cover all aspects of an effective job transition - spanning from defining your job search objectives, to understanding your value in the talent market, creating a compelling resume, effective interviewing, references, compensation negotiation, and onboarding.  For further information about session content please see below.

We have offered this workshop only two times in the past three years.  Each prior series of workshops received exceptional feedback and participants raved about how useful and insightful the material was. Previous attendees have acted as a support group for each other afterward. Unfortunately, these series were also over-subscribed and we were not able to accommodate everyone who wanted to attend. So, early registration is recommended.

We have asked the prior workshops leader, Chris Nadherny (WG ’79), whether he would be willing to offer the series again to members during these uncertain, COVID disruptive times.  He has graciously agreed to donate his time over three Saturday mornings to do so. We are extremely fortunate to again be working with Chris.

Chris is a leading and sought after career coach. His clients are C-suite and aspiring C-suite executives from across the U.S. Previously, Chris spent 30 years with Spencer Stuart, the global leader in executive search. He conducted over 750 search assignments across a full range of various functional leadership roles, CEO, and board director positions for global public companies, midcap firms, and private equity portfolio businesses. He has formally interviewed, assessed, positioned and presented more than 5,000 senior executives, tracking their careers over multiple years. He brings to us an invaluable understanding of how successful careers are navigated and formed. Chris is also an Executive Advisor and Coaching Mentor with Crenshaw Associates, a leading transition services firm out of NYC. He is the author of THE PROACTIVE EXECUTIVE, a “Five-Star” reader reviewed reference guidebook on effective career management.

The objective of this unique series is to have you come away fully equipped and prepared in all respects to mount an effective job search.
