Mentoring Program

Aid Alumni with Transitions in Careers

career_ladder_960x360.jpgAs a benefit only available to Wharton Chicago Club members, we provide a formal Mentoring Program to aid alumni in transition in their career. Whether you are a young alumnus, new to a city or exploring career paths, you can get coaching from a trusted and safe advisor. This program will match Wharton Alum mentees with Wharton Alum mentors in their area of interest.

Once we receive your request, we will begin the selection process and email you with the next steps. During the brief initial interview, mentees will share their goals and requirements for a mentor. Matching will occur on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a locally curated and managed program, we use a high-touch (non-automated) process which involves conversations with both mentees and mentors. We take into consideration years of work experience, communication style, industry, recent job transitions, locations, as well as other variables. The program committee is led by Adam Khorshid.

Typically, mentors will provide a monthly or quarterly call/meeting for six to twelve months. Generally, there are four to six calls throughout the process. The suggested collaboration is completely flexible based on mentor/mentee rapport, availability, and desire.
